My long weekend was filled of rain, rain and more rain. I decided to take the opportunity to watch as many DVDs as I could before my working week kicked in. One of the movies I enjoyed watching was, What Happens in Vegas, a simple funny story with two great comic actors.

Set in Sin City, the story revolves around two people, Joy (Cameron Diaz) and Jack (Ashton Kutcher) who discover they've gotten married following a night of debauchery, with one of them winning a huge jackpot after playing the other's quarter. Unhappy pair try to undermine each other and get their hands on the money -- falling in love along the way. Just debauchery, with one of them winning a huge jackpot after playing the other's quarter.

Living separately from their father Steve (Greg Kinnear) since their parents got divorced, Ronnie and her brother Jonah (Bobby Coleman) are later sent by their mother to spend the summer with their father in Tybee Island, the small Georgia beach town.There, Ronnie meets a successful beach volleyball player Will (Liam Hemsworth), with whom she falls in love. As she is getting closer to the handsome and popular guy, Ronnie manages to reconnect to her father through one thing they have in common, music. And don't worry she plans to sing her socks off in order to get her man. Yep, I'm pretty sure that this isn't The Last Song Miley Cyrus will be singing!

Wow, what fun was had! I was lucky enough to spend some well earned time with my Michael at this years Splendour in the grass up in Woodford Queensland last weekend, and yes it was as splendid as i thought it would be if not more. No one would've guessed it was the middle of winter - the sun was shinny and a balmy breeze was a blowin'. There were many bare legs, sunhats and freckles starting to show. I had an amazing time sitting in the golden view stand, listening to sweet tunes and generally letting my hair down. All the performances that i saw were terrific, but personal faves included The Strokes, Angus and Julia Stone, Washington, Magic Numbers, Two Door Cinema Club, and powerful singer Florence. I'm already saving my pennies and counting down the days for next years festival.

Home Inspiration: Hilda Grahnat

I've fallen in love with the home of Hilda Grahnat, the apartment may be small but each living-area is well defined, from the bed with its display of retro record covers, to a vintage bookcase showing her collection of alarm clocks and cameras. My favourite part of the entire apartment is the art wall, with its mix of old family photos and empty frames...definitely something i would do in my own apartment. Hilda Grahnat is a photographer of everyday life, thrift store finds and analog photo experiments. Prints of her photographs are for sale from her shop and her blog.
